While kid can always watch a DVD or play a video game, there's still nothing better than a book. Here are a few books by Asian-American authors that both kids and adults will enjoy.

When the Moon Forgot by Jimmy Liao
When the Moon Forgot tells the sweet story of a boy who finds the moon in a field after it has fallen from the sky. They become close friends and the boy eventually helps the moon make its way back into the sky.









Clara Lee and the Apple Pie Dream by Jenny Han


Clara Lee is a Korean-American third-grader who dreams of becoming Little Miss Apple Pie. As the story goes along, Clara has to deal with her annoying little sister, concerns that she isn't American enough to win Little Miss Apple Pie and a secret valentine.








Ling & Ting: Not Exactly the Same! by Grace Lin

Yet another wonderful children's book by Grace Lin, Ling & Ting: Not Exactly the Same! is made up of six little stories about twins Ling and Ting. The girls may look the same (at least until a minor haircutting accident) but are definitely different in a number of ways.







Huntress by Malinda Lo

A prequel to her book Ash, Huntress follows Kaede and Taisin, two seventeen-year-old girls who are chosen by the oracle stones to save the human world, as they venture to Tanlili, the city of the Fairy Queen.
