MadeBySurvivors.com is part of The Emancipation Network, an international non-profit torganization dedicated to fighting human trafficking and modern day slavery" in countries like Thailand, India, and Uganda. By funding shelters and schools as well as creating work opportunities, this organization works to prevent trafficking and help survivors reintegrate into society.
Mekong Blue Scarves
The beautiful hand-woven scarves found at Mekong Blue Scarves help the women and children of Cambodia’s Stung Treng region overcome poverty and illiteracy. A project of the Stung Treng Women’s Development Center (SWDC), a not-for-profit organization, it not only provides the women and their families with income, it also teaches them a trade and skill.
Srijana Crafts
Created by two sisters, Srijana Crafts is a fair-trade enterprise whose goal it is to reduce poverty by creating job opportunities for people in various parts of Nepal. The main vision of Srijana Crafts is "to ensure that the people supplying the crafts receive fair wages, their works and craftsmanship are treated with dignity and their products receive global recognition."
